Who we are

AgIndex (agindex.com.au) is an independent directory of farm AI and agtech for Australian farmers. Contact: info@agindex.com.au.

What we collect

• Newsletter: your email address, only when you subscribe (opt-in).
• Enquiries: name, email, farm or business, state, your message and the tool you asked about.
• Machinery listings: the listing details, photos, your name, email and optional phone.
• Tool submissions and sponsor enquiries: the details you enter.
• Basic, non-identifying site analytics may be used to understand which pages are useful.

How we use it

• To send the newsletter you asked for, answer your enquiry, review and publish your listing, or reply to you.
• Seller contact details are not published unless you choose to show them. We may forward a buyer enquiry to a seller, or a tool enquiry to the provider, only where you've asked us to.
• We don't sell your personal information.

Email and the Spam Act

We only send marketing emails to people who have opted in. Every email identifies AgIndex and includes a working unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly, consistent with the Spam Act 2003.

Storage and service providers

Form and newsletter data is stored with the service providers we use to run the site (for example our email newsletter and form tools), which may store data outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to protect it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. If you're not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
